CHILDHOOD HOBBIES :
Dhoni is known as a cricketer but when he was a child, he was fond of sports like Badminton and football. He doesn't has any interest in playing cricket. When, we talk about dhoni as a footballer then he was so good that he started playing district and club level matches at such a young age. He was playing in his football team as a goalkeeper and was a very good goalkeeper.
START OF THE CAREER :
On a day, when dhoni was doing goalkeeping, he was called for doing wicket keeping in cricket just for trial. Dhoni hasn't played any cricket just before that but when dhoni started wicket keeping, he impressed all the people present there. He becomes the regular wicket keeper of commando cricket club. Because of his great performance he was selected to play vinoo mankad trophy in 1997 - 1998. Dhoni was a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar and Adam gilchrist. In his early days, he has long hairs because his favorite actor was John abrahim. He was too fond of riding car and bike and today also whenever he gets the time he fulfills his will of riding.
Till class 10th he played cricket very normally. Because, he also has to pay attention to his studies. After he passed 10th standard, he also started to give more attention to cricket. Between that he had given entrance exam for TT job in railways. He was selected and given the job of TT in south railways in karagpur railways station between 2001 - 2003. His colleagues always says that dhoni is a kind hearted and responsible person. Dhoni was also known for his naughtiness. Once a time, when he was living in railways quarter then dhoni work his friends roaming till late night by covering themselves with white blanket. As dhoni has long hairs, the watchman was scared off. The next day it becomes a great news of fear by their prank.
Along with the railways job, he was also a part of Ranji trophy in between 2000 - 2003. There's a time when dhoni was not happy with doing job and wanted to make career in cricket. Many of them has doubt that how he came in national team. The answer is there's a BCCI team who picks up the raw talent from small cities. From that team, Prakash poddar had selected MS Dhoni in the team. Prakash poddar was former captain in Bengal team. The way for dhoni to enter national team was clear. But, he was not settle in the team.
He get a great achievement when in 2003, he was selected to India A team and he went to Kenya for playing tri-series where Pakistan team was also reached. In this series he performed very nicely and he scored half century against Pakistan. His performance had investment as he scored 120 and 119 runs in two different makes in the series and had two centuries on his name. He scored 362 runs in 7 matches.
Due to dhoni's great performance, that time's Indian captain Sourav Ganguly was too impressed with dhoni. Because of that time's coach Sandeep patil, MS has got the chance to play a debut match. At that time he had good competitors too like Dinesh kartik and Parthiv Patel. But, dhoni had made his name because of his good performance.
In 2004 to 2005, he was send to play ODI match against Bangladesh which was his debut match. Unfortunately, on his debut match he was run-out on the score of zero runs. But, he was not dropped from the team because of his poor performance and was given another chance for one day cricket match against pakistan. He got the good start in international cricket when he was playing in 5th match against Pakistan and scored 148 runs in 123 balls. This was the highest score for any wicket keeper batsman. Due to his great performance, he fixed a place for him in the Indian team. After that when Rahul Dravid leaves his captaincy, dhoni was the new captain. From that event he never liked back and has a great career.
ACHIVEMENTS :
Under his captaincy, India has won T20 World Cup in 2007. After 28 years, India lifts the World Cup under his captaincy. He had also made many big victories. He is one of the greatest wicket keeper in the world and also made record of most dismissals by a wicket keeper. He was also one of the greatest captain. He was also named as Captain cool for his cool mind in the great pressure of the match.
RETIREMENT AND RESIGNATION :
He left his captaincy from ODI and T20 matches on 4th January, 2014 and taken retirement from test cricket on 30th December, 2014. Now, it is a big question that MS Dhoni will take retirement from ODI cricket and T20 cricket after heartbreaking loss of India in ODI World Cup 2019 or not. In my and his fans opinion, he should play more cricket for India.
