India's first vaccine which is Covaxin is prepared and passed for clinical trails. And looking for the human trials which is going to held on July. This vaccine is made by Bharat Biotechs and claimed that they have made India's first vaccine against corona virus. According to the company, they have prepared this vaccine with the help of ICMR ( Indian Council of Medical Research ) and National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. The good news is that health ministry and India's drug regulator, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, has allowed to conduct human clinical trials for 'Covaxin'.

The vaccine trials results are very much time consuming that they can take even 3 to 10 years. But, the another good news is that ICMR has targeted to give Covid-19 vaccine's trails results by 15 August. To know more about vaccines read the whole article. 

ABOUT THE COMPANY :

The company who prepared Covaxin is Bharat Biotech. Bharat Biotech is first to make indigenous vaccine for corona virus. This company is situated at Hyderabad. Bharat Biotech had also discovered the H1N1 virus vaccine, Rotavirus vaccine and Zikavirus vaccine. 

WHAT IS VACCINE :

Many people have doubts that what is vaccine and what's the work of vaccine, so here we are going to decode this word. Whenever, a virus attacks on our body, our immune system fights it and defend our body. There are only two results possible that are our immune system can win or virus will win. If our immunity system wins then our body is immuned to that virus permanently. But, if there is a new virus, our immune system doesn't have antibodies to fight against the virus which is required. This is concept of vaccine to develop antibodies, so our immune system will win. The ultimate goal is to build antibody against the particular virus. 

TYPES OF VACCINE :

Vaccine's are classified into two types. The first one is the Attenuated or weekend one which means the weakest virus is used in vaccine, so our immunity easily wins. The other one is Inactivated one which is a dead virus, which makes help to build antibodies in more easier way. Covaxin is Inactivated vaccine. In attenuated vaccine, there is more risk to the person but in inactivated vaccine, it has no potential to infect or replicate since it is killed virus. But, Inactivated vaccine's requires multiple doses to ensure a sufficient immune system to build antibodies. Polio is an example of inactivated vaccine as it also requires multiple doses.

HOW MANY STAGES OF TESTING WOULD THE VACCINE HAVE TO GO THROUGH BEFORE APPROVED :

It takes a lot of time to pass a vaccine as it has to pass through many stages of testing and have to check different effects on human. The stages are : 

(i) Pre-clinical test;

(ii) Phase 1;

(iii) Phase 2;

(iv) Phase 3.

In pre-clinical test, it is basically test on animals like rat, monkey, etc. Rather than Pre-clinical test, phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3 are the test conducted on human. In these stages, the docters and researches teams are looking for the vaccine is working or not, is it has an adverse effect on any special case like diabetes and etc, long term effects, short term effects and effect on different age groups. As the pose are increasing the number of samples and observation are going to increase. 

This procedure takes too much time. But, ICMR has said to launch Covaxin till 15th August, if all things are going good, which means in one and half months, they have to conduct phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3.

The whole world is in the search of vaccine for Covid-19 pandemic. More than 200 companies putting effort day and night. In this global race, the company which is in top is Astrazeneca and the vaccine is name as ChAdOxl-S. It is in the phase 3 which means it means it is nearest one to be launched.

It would be a great achievement for India, if Covaxin is passed. It is not the first time but India has also developed vaccines for many virus as discussed earlier. India is a great producer for medicines as we all know the producing capacities of India's pharmacitical  companies are high. The manufacturing of vaccines are time consuming but India has decided to pass the Covaxin and I'd ask be good, we will finally get relief from corona virus. As India is a great producer for medicines, we will produce a large numbers of vaccines for not only our country but for others too. So, it would be great achievement for India.

The vaccine's result and its distribution has much time, so we have to be careful. We can be safe by following some general instructions as described by the government many times. Instructions like regular sanitation, have washes of you touch any surfaces, wearing masks, living far from others, maintaining social distancing and avoiding to go outside of the is no need.
