ISRO | How to become scientist in ISRO?

Hi friends, today we will discuss the topic to become a scientist and work for ISRO. ISRO means Indian Space Research Organisation. We have heard many news of success of ISRO and that's the success for our country India too. ISRO is pride of India and working for ISRO is very proud moment.

The most reputed job is to be a scientist at ISRO and then comes IIT, IAS, IPS and etc. IAS, IPS and other government services has much power but the respect for a scientist in ISRO is greater for an example Mr. Abdul Kalam is very popular and reputed person. Many researches and space missions are conducted by ISRO. ISRO is an organization in India like USA has NASA.

HOW TO JOIN ISRO :
Now, the question arises how to become scientist in ISRO. There are 3 - 4 ways to become scientist in ISRO. The path to become a scientist in ISRO are as follows :

One way is to take admission in IIST ( Indian Institute of Space Technology ) after 12th standard. You can take admission in IIST through JEE advanced. There are 140 seats in IIST. IIST will provide you two courses which are 4 year B.tech course and 5 year Dual Degree course. If you maintain atleast 7.5 CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) then you will be directly recruited for ISRO.

The second way is ISRO will be conducting interview in IITs and NITs and recruit students directly for scientist job in ISRO after related courses. For this you have to score good marks in JEE and get admission in IIT or NIT. If you want to know about JEE Mains then click here.

The third way is the ICRB exam which is ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board. ISRO will conduct this exam for students which have these four degrees as listed below :
1)BE;
2)BTech;
3)BSc (Engineering) ;
4)Diploma + BE or BTech (lateral entry)
Students with these degrees are qualified to give ICRB exam.

In these degrees, not all students can give this exam. In these degree students which have these 3 streams which are :
1) Computer Engineering;
2) Mechanical Engineering;
3) Electrical Engineering.
But, if there is requirement for civil engineers they are also called for this exams only if they are needed. There is another criteria which is you should have minimum 65% or 6.84 CGPA in graduation.

These are criteria for ICRB exam. The exam has objective type questions. The syllabus is related to your degree. Another point to be noted is you can only apply after completion of your graduation but you cannot apply in your final year of graduation. There is no fixed syllabus. This is very tough exam but if you want something good you have to do hard work with smart work too. Each category has separate objective paper.

We have discussed earlier that students from computer engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering can apply for exam but in these stream many more streams are there who are able to give ICRB exam. These are listed below :
