JEE (Road to IITs and NITs)

First of all.......What is IIT or NIT?
Then, it is among the among the most reputable universities in all over the world. It was founded by Jawahar Lal Nehru in 1951 and now it's spread over 23 states each having one.

It's true that every Indian, who want to be an engineer, have a dream to have admission in IIT or NIT.
But why are people too crazy about that? This can help you know about this problemI think you would have got it. If not, then you can just have a look on the IIT alumnus

Is it easy?
You can estimate this by a small story, The story goes like this, a son along with his mother and his maternal grandfather goes to the director of IIT, and when mother showed the marksheet of the boy the director appreciated the boy but denied to take admission in IIT, but he also told them that he can get that boy into Imperial college of London, and he did it so.

All three were former prime ministers of India, the boy was Rajiv Gandhi, the mother Indira Gandhi and maternal grandfather was Jawaharlal Nehru.
Now you would have got how tuff it is to get there.

But if you are going through the perfect roadway then it would be not so tuff.
 
How to take admission in IIT or NIT?
Then, the only thing which can get you into these Institutions is JEE(Mains) and JEE(advanced).


Now, what is JEE?
It's known as Joint Entrance Examination.
This is having two levels first is mains and second is advanced.
Language
Mains exam was conducted in only English and Hindi languages, but gujarati is added lastly, and will be conducted in 11 different languages from 2021 onwards.
Advanced is conducted in only two languages English and Hindi.

                            JEE (mains)
This exam is the only key to get into NITs or to give advanced. JEE (mains) is taken by NTA(Ntional testing agency).
Means is JEE mains is fully based upon the NCERT portion of 11th and 12th JEE mains is conducted in two phases
Schedule
First one in January, and another in April. Students can appear for both of them,or any one. The one in which the student got higher rank is to be counted.
Eligibility
Any student who is studying in in 12th standard or one who passed 12th can give this exam but you should have 75% in NCERT, or your respective state board examination so then also only the result would be valid take admission in NIT.
Structure
This exam consists of only three subject physics maths and chemistry each with equal weightage, the total marks of the exam is 300.
Structure of JEE mains is same every year and like JEE advanced it consists of 60 multiple choice questions (20 for each subject), and 15 integers(5 of each subject)
In MCQ, your correct answer will score 4 marks or wrong then -1 or you can leave it. And in integer type question, if correct you will get 4 marks or incorrect, then no negative marking is there.

                         JEE (advanced)
Every year around 8 to 10 lakh students give this JEE mains but only about 1.5 to 2.3 lakhs qualify for the advanced. This is among the tuffest exams not only in the nation but round the globe. This exam is the only key to IITs, which is the best institute for engineering in India and among the best around the world.
Schedule
This exam around is schedule in in the month of May, after the mains.
Eligibility
You should qualify JEE mains and get 75% or higher in your respective board examination, to be eligible for this exam.
Structure 
Structure of the paper is not determined at all before examination this can consists of MCQs, Integer type questions, Matrix matching each one of them can have negative marking or it's without negative marking
Matrix matching,with negative marking or without it  MCQ, without negative marking or with negative it Integers question, with negative marking or without negative marking.

     In 2019, around 2.45 students qualified for giving JEE advanced, but about 38k qualified in the exam, and the top among them will be send to IITs.


For JEE, students more often start studying after completing their 10th or many of them take a drop after 12th to prepare for the competition. Many of the students went to kota, educational hub for JEE and NEET, or join to coaching classes, which is spread all over the country.


     If students who were unable to enter IITs or NITs, but now again want to do their Masters from there then they can apply for GATE.
